कन्हैयालाल डी0ए0वी0 स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय, रुड़की की स्थापना सन् 1960 में दूरदृष्टा एवं लोकहितैषी राय साहब कन्हैयालाल जी द्वारा की गई। महाविद्यालय के संस्थापक प्राचार्य के रुप में श्री ईश्वर दयाल जी ने महाविद्यालय को एक सुदृढ़ नींव प्रदान करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। महाविद्यालय में तथा वर्ष 2002 में एम०एस०सी० सन् 1964 में बी०एड० सन् 1972 में बी०एस०सी० जीव विज्ञान,गणित एवं रसायन विज्ञान, वर्ष 2004 में एम०एस-सी० जन्तु विज्ञान, वर्ष 2005 में एम०एस-सी० वनस्पति विज्ञान एवं वर्ष 2006 में एम०एस०सी० भौतिक विज्ञान के पाठ्यक्रम प्रारम्भ किये गये। वर्ष 2016 से महाविद्यालय में बी०एस०सी० माइक्रोबायोलॉजी एवं बी०एस०सी० कम्प्यूटर साइंस के पाठ्यक्रम संचालित किए जा रहे हैं।

The College administration and leadership is committed to provide continuous and healthy learning environment, good sports and supporting facilities for the students to achieve academic excellence, integrity, self esteem, equality, and respect for nature, humanity and employability.
